Visit our Rube Goldberg Open House

See what our 8th grade Science students have created this Wednesday evening (6:30-8:00) in the gym.  Alone or in groups they have devised contraptions that, using basic principles of physics, move step by step to complete a simple task.  It's load of fun and immensely suspenseful watching the machines succeed - or fail - to make it to the end.

Student Art Fair/Contest

The Moorpark Women's Fortnightly Club is inviting students to participate in their annual Student Art Fair.  Artwork in a variety of media are welcome but certain guidelines must be followed.  Students should bring their finished artwork to the Chaparral office by Friday, March 2, for pick up.

After judging artwork will be displayed at the MWFC Art Fair on Wednesday, March 7, between 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the Peach Hill Academy MPR.  Selected 1st place artwork will go on to compete at the District and State level.

piqe classes for parents

We will be offering a valuable 8-week course for parents beginning at the end of this month. The classes are designed to help you and your middle school students navigate adolescence and prepare for high school and beyond.  The classes are completely free to parents and child care will be provided.

An informational "planning" meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 23, from 6:00-7:30 in the MPR and the classes will follow on consecutive Tuesdays at the same time.

Please return the interest flyer (ENG/SPA) that your child will bring home (or download HERE) if you are interested.

Honoring Martin Luther King JR

We are taking the month of January to recognize the contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King.  His words can inspire our students to be better citizens, to be kinder to each other, and to stand up for fairness and equality.  They coincide nicely with the PRIDE principles that we expect all our students to follow.
